Bruce is a native of Brookhaven, Mississippi. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Business Administration in 1992. He attended Duke Divinity School for his Masters of Divinity, graduating in 1997. Parkway Hills United Methodist Church is his fourth appointment as an ordained elder.
After his first appointment as Associate Pastor at Central United Methodist Church in Meridian, he accepted an assignment as a missionary in the Alaska Missionary Conference in the summer of 2001. He spent four years in the Palmer and Wasilla, Alaska area, helping to launch a second campus for Christ First United Methodist Church.. In 2005, Bruce and his family returned to the Mississippi Conference as pastor of Court Street United Methodist Church, an urban church near the heart of downtown Hattiesburg. The Case's moved to Madison in late June, where Bruce led his first service at Parkway Hills on June 27, 2010.
Bruce’s wife, Jennifer, is an elementary school teacher at Highland Elementary. They have two children: Tripp, who is eleven, and Susannah, who is seven. The family enjoyed a clergy renewal sabbatical that took them to Spain, England and France in 2008, where they followed the footsteps of John Wesley, worshipped at Taize community in central France, visited World War II sites in Normandy, and walked the El Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. The Case family enjoys sports and the outdoors.
Bruce also enjoys playing the guitar, golf, hiking, reading, and tennis. |
