You might ask, "What exactly does the Nurture committee do?" Appropriately named, the Nurture Committee, chaired by Kristy Jones, nurtures the congregation and is charged with "building community within the church by creating opportunities for members to become better acquainted with one another and helping them care for one another."

This is done in a number of different ways--through fellowship events and caring ministries. Fellowship events include activiies such as: Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, Family Night at Mississippi Braves games, Family Bowling Night, Family Movie Nights, Advent Fair, Ice cream Social, and all other fellowship events.

Our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be on Tuesday, March 8 at 5:30.  The men of PHUMC will be whipping up their delicious pancakes for all to enjoy.  You don't want to miss it!

The Care Ministry

The Care Ministry is a team of volunteers within the church who are willing to minister to families in times of need--whether it's an illness, the death of a loved one, or the birth of  a baby.
