The Hope Class
The Hope Class meets in Rm 201 on the second floor of the Education Building. Class size averages 10-15 per week and age varies from late 20's to early 40's, with the average in the mid 30's. This is a fun and active group of men and women coping with modern life and the challenges of raising children in a Christian environment in the modern world. There is lots of open discussion and camaraderie, and all are welcome!
Classes are facilitated by volunteers, and topics of study are derived from lesson books selected by class members. Recent books of study include Living By Grace, a study of Galations, and Hope, a study of Nehemiah. Their current lesson is on living a life of missions from Mission: An Invitation to the Adventure of Life edited by Steve Gladen.
In this work "Mission" is understood in a much broader sense--extending into an actual lifestyle, as opposed to a single event, that includes a passion for people everywhere and a mind set on Jesus' charge to take care of the poor, brokenhearted, and disenfranchised. The process of becoming missional begins with surrender and ends in life stewardship.
Come join them in this exciting and fascinating study!
